Google searches are a peculiar thing. It seems that one of the most popular searches is for “top rated vacuums for under $100″. Thing is, you can easily get a great vacuum for less than $100. For that matter, a lot of high quality vacuums can be had for less than $50. To be honest the best vacuum around $100 is the Hoover WindTunnel T-Series. It’s a great upright vacuum, replete with a HEPA filter, great retractable cord feature, and a number of attachments like a crevice tool and upholstery attachment. Highly recommended.

The Hoover WindTunnel T-Series is a beast, and a great value at around $98. It comes with a number of attachments, and a permanent HEPA filter

Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum, 71B ($35) – I’ve professed my love for the Eureka Hand-Held before, and deemed it the best vacuum for your apartment. It has a handy nozzle attachment to get into corners of rooms, or any other small place (like udner the refrigerator). It’s a great value at less than $40. It isn’t cordless, but it has a really long cord so that you can go room to room without having to switch outlets.
